The ImÂges clinic was inaugurated in 2013 by Maria Riccardi, a psychotherapist and guidance counselor specializing in the arts. With the guiding focus of "imagination through the ages," our clinic prioritizes the importance of imagination in health and well-being for individuals at all life stages. Since the beginning, we have partnered with educational and clinical institutions to provide a comprehensive service network and ensure that the most cutting-edge, relevant treatment modalities are deployed.
Our MissionAs practitioners within the public health and education systems, our team members have seen all sorts of challenges that families face in accessing therapeutic services – mental health stigma, cultural barriers, insufficient coordination between services, and a one-size-fits-all approach. Clinique ImÂges was born from the recognition of these challenges and a desire to provide treatment that is comprehensive, inclusive, and responsive to real needs. Our clinic is centered on integrative services in expressive therapies, providing quality services to children, adults, and families with a diverse range of needs. Our CollaborationsSince our inception, we have established partnerships with significant community institutions, including Sainte-Anne de Bellevue Hospital, the Grands Ballets Canadiens, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Mental Health Movement, the Canadian Mental Health Association, the National Research Institute, and the Saint-Vincent de Paul Society of Montreal. These collaborations reinforce our commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Our Training SchoolIn 2023, Clinique ImÂges opened a training center in collaboration with Gabriel Gingras, a doctoral candidate and art therapist. This training school allows our practitioners to participate in training the next generation of health and education professionals, and to share our passion for art-based and expressive therapies. This development was inspired by the collaborative work with Lisa Hinz, Joshua Nan, and Kathy Gotshall, highlighting the importance of the expressive therapies continuum in their approach.Contact UsWe are committed to supporting your well-being and encouraging personal growth through the arts.
